Introduction

Rules are in place to ensure this forum is safe to access. ALL users must follow these rules at all times while using the forum. Failure to do so will be met with loss of posting privileges. In more severe cases, account terminations will be imposed on those upon staff discretion. Furthermore, you must be at least 18 years old or older to make an account on this site. If you are under 18, do not make an account.

This forum site is also entirely focused on the discussion of Hampton Roads in general (e.g., Hampton, Newport News, Norfolk, etc.), so all posts need to stay on-topic.

User Conduct

By using this forum site, you agree NOT to use abusive or vulgar language and follow all of these rules provided below:

• Abuse, harassment, imtimidation, and/or threatening behavior will NOT be tolerated and will result in account termination. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
• We have a zero tolerance policy on hate speech or any discriminatory behavior against race, gender, nationality, religion, or political beliefs. This board is geared towards everyone that is part of Hampton Roads.
• Discussion about politics in any form is strictly prohibited. This is a NON-political forum and is geared towards those across the spectrum, liberal, progressive, moderate, conservative, and libertarian.
• Spam, scams, misleading posts, misinformation, and clickbait are grounds for immediate bans from this site. For more rules regarding written articles, please see this page.
• Abusing multiple accounts to get around bans and sockpuppeting are also strictly prohibited and will only result in a permanent ban. If you have been banned, wait out the ban before coming back.
• No backseat moderating! Let the moderators do all of the moderating. Backseat moderating is when someone who's not a moderator tries to perform the duties of a moderator even though they are in no position to be doing so.
• Judging admin decisions is punishable by bans. While it may be a friend getting banned, we have zero tolerance, no matter who that person is. No exceptions! In addition, criticizing or complaining about the rules within the forums is strictly prohibited and will lead to bans from the forum. Rules added are non-negotiable. NO EXCEPTIONS!!

• Because we currently have limited resources, posts must contain only few images and absolutely no videos are allowed. This rule will be lifted once more resources are available. Images should generally be limited to article posts as this helps save up space.
• You must comply with US Federal Law, as well as Virginia State Law when using this site, even if you are now residing outside of the state. This is because we operate within the state of Virginia, so all Virginia state laws apply regardless. Keep in mind we will always remove illegal material if it is ever posted on this site even though it is not always possible to immediately report it when it does happen. Such material will be reported to the appropriate agencies. Additionally, discussing or promoting piracy, counterfeiting, copyright infringement, warez or fraudulent activities or any activities with malicious intent are strictly prohibited and users posting such will be banned on sight. This also applies to regulated goods such as alcohol and drugs.
• ALWAYS POST IN THE APPROPRIATE BOARDS!!! The boards ARE to be kept organized on this site and it can get annoying when users post in the wrong board, especially in the case of articles. There is a separate board for articles outside of the general discussion. PLEASE only post articles in the articles board. This makes it easier for others to find the article post and it keeps the boards cleaner and more organized.
• THIS IS NOT FACEBOOK. Do not solicit offerings, goods, services, etc. of any kind. Asking for goods, services, etc. are also prohibited and users will be subject to bans if they post offers or write posts asking for such. Also, selfies, memes, or other personal images are strictly banned. We are an internet forum, not a social networking site.
• Keep posts related! This forum site is focused mainly around the hampton roads region so everything needs to be related to hampton roads.
